Nor-Park subdivision another step closer to reality
by Nick Stevenson
NORFOLK - The Nor-Park subdivision cleared another hurdle Tuesday as the Norfolk City Council gave final approval to a zoning change.
The zoning change from Light Industrial and Single Family Residential to One and Two Family Residential would allow for 50 additional housing units to be built on property located at and around 601 East Michigan Avenue.
Roger Nadrachal, CEO of NeighborWorks Northeast Nebraska told council members with the concerns of the potential traffic flow on Bluff Avenue, the developers are working with local property owner Marty Wohlers to also use East Pasewalk Avenue for access.
The council approved the zoning change on second and third reading by a vote of 7 to 0 with Council Member Dave Fauss absent.
